About

The Full Story

I'm a CFI, born and raised in Houston, Texas but that's not all!

I've been in love with aviation ever since I was born. Some kids had toy trains, I had model airplanes. Before I started flying I spent countless hours at the local airport with my grandfather watching the planes fly overhead, dreaming of the day when I'd be in the cockpit, not just watching, but flying.

When I was 13, after years of nagging, I finally convinced my parents to let me attend our local airport's weekly ground school classes. These ground school classes fed the fire that is my passion for aviation. During my Sophomore year of High School, when I was 15, my parents surprised me with a discovery flight and I haven't stopped flying since.

I soloed my first airplane at 16, and then got my Private Pilot's license shortly after my 17th birthday. I then, with the help of my parents, bought my first and current aircraft, a 1974 Cessna 182 Skylane. I flew that plane all the way from Visalia, California to my home in Houston, Texas. A few months later with the help of my awesome instructor I went on to get my Instrument Rating. I continued flying and earned my commercial pilots license shortly after my 18th birthday. I then went on to become a certified flight instructor 2 weeks after my High School graduation.

I'm currently attending Texas A&M University's Mays school of Business and am majoring in Finance in the Business Honors program there.

Throughout my flying career I've done so many things. From getting my Tailwheel endorsement and doing aerobatic training, to flying old crop dusters and towing gliders, each experience has shaped the kind of pilot and instructor I am today—always learning, always flying, and always eager to share that passion with the next generation of aviators.
